You've got your new wardrobe, now how do you take care of it? Here are some of our favorite tips to make laundry day a little less overwhelming!

1. Use the right water temperature
Cold Water- delicate fabrics and dark colors
Warm Water- moderately soiled clothing and man-made fabrics
Hot Water- bedding, towels, whites, and heavily soiled fabrics

2. Reduce fading
Reduce fading by turning your dark colored clothes inside out to wash

3. Avoid shrinking
Wash your clothes in cold water and avoid agitation and hot dryers

4. Reduce wrinkles
Dry your clothes on a lower heat and use dryer sheets or wool balls

5. Use a drying rack
Hang your nicer and delicate clothes on a drying rack to avoid heat and wrinkles

6. Make your denim last
Wash your jeans inside out and lay flat or hang by the ankles to dry (this keeps their shape!)

7. Prevent pilling
Wash your clothes inside out and on a delicate setting (hand washing is even better if you have the time!) If your clothes do pill, you can use a fabric shaver to remove them!

8. Spot Treating
Set garments with stains aside or in a separate basket to ensure it is spot treated before washing. Need a good stain remover? This is our favorite!
